In Class:

Students continued to practice solving problems involving similar figures. Students focused on the relationship between the perimeter ratios and area ratios.

Two problems from class are below:

Similar Sails-


Answer:
 The area of Sail B is 600ft squared.  The scale of A:B is 1:5. The area ratio of A: B is 1:25 (scale squared). So, 25 sail A will fit inside sail B.  (24*20 = 600 ft squared)

Answer: The perimeter of the smaller flowerbed is 12 feet.
