Students took the Chapter 1 Test in class today.

Learning Target: 
I can solve use deductive reasoning to solve logic problems.

In Class:
Students worked cooperatively to solve 2 logic puzzles from Grid Plexers
Some students that were absent took the Chapter 1 Test.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 (short class periods 28min)

 
Learning Target:
I can use the distributive property to evaluate expressions

In Class:

Students were introduced to the distributive property and practiced problems on whiteboards. 
We used the method: I DO,  WE DO,  YOU DO
It went quite well!
Chapter 1 Tests were returned along with yellow parent signature sheets 


Homework:  HAVE PARENTS SIGN THE YELLOW SHEETS & RETURN TOMORROW

Friday, October 21, 2011 (Mrs. White was out today)

Learning Target:
I can use the distributive property to evaluate expressions including the area of rectangles and triangles.


In class:

Homework was reviewed by the guest teacher
Guest Teacher handed out the Chapter 1 ReTake Tickets each hour
Students worked on problems to review the distributive property

In Class:

pg 72 problems 1-12
pg 74 problems 12-19, 32-35, & 38

Homework:

RETAKE TICKETS ARE DUE ON TUESDAY OCT 25th @ the beginning of EXPLORATORY
